Chloe's new Toy

My mom and dad got Chloe a interactive pet ball and I think she likes it. She is a little unsure of why it moves and then stays still when we turn it off. We are sure enjoying watching her play with it.

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful, busy, fun filled four days of Christmas celebrations. We had dinner with Mom, Dad and Stacey on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was busy. We started with opening presents that Santa brought to our house. Then we went Grandma and Grandpa P's house to open up presents with them and Aunt Stacey. Then it was off to the Becky and Bill's for dinner and more presents with the Halstead clan. Saturday it was off to MI to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Granpa G and Uncle Shawn and Aunt Jen! Then Sunday was spent celebrating with Aunt Linda, Aunt Deb, Uncle Steve and Karin. While in MI we even fit in time to see a few friends of mine from high school. It was a wonderful weekend and we feel truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends in our life!

4 months

It is hard to believe but our little girl is 4 months today. Here are her 4 month pictures. her appointment is Jan 15 so I will post after that how big she is getting!

Chloe

Chloe is groomed and ready for the holiday season. They even put a festive bow in her hair and bandana on her neck, which only lasted a few hours!

Wrapping presents

I tried to get a few presents wrapped today under th watchful eye of Santa's helpers (Kaelyn & Chloe)...I didn't accomplish much.

Learning lots of new tricks

Kaelyn is learning lots of new things every day. While on her back she can scoot herself around in a circle. She is working hard on rolling over from her back to her tummy. Her arm keeps getting in the way. And she is grabbing for things a lot more than before. Today I had her in her crib with her rattle. I ran to switch the laundry and when I came back she had somehow ended up with the rattle over her arm like a purse. I guess it never is too young to start accessorizing!

Bumbo

Kaelyn now has pretty good control of her head so we got out the Bumbo for her to try. I think she likes being able to view the world from a new position.

Dady comes home!

Kaelyn & I were so excited to see Daddy when he came home this week (not that we aren't every week)! Kaelyn got to spend some time cuddling with daddy even though it was past her bedtime.

Snow

We had our first snow of the year today. Kaelyn was all bundled up and nice and warm on our way to music class.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated two Thanksgiving's while in MI. On Thursday, we went to Grandma Gedert's and celebrated with all of my Aunts, Uncles and cousins (about 25 people). Kaelyn was a little overwhelmed by all of the people there. On Friday, we celebrated at my moms house. Kaelyn got to meet Aunt Deb & Uncle Steve for the first time. It was a wonderful weekend full of family & good food!

Play Date

Over Thanksgiving we stayed with Shawn & Jen. Jen's brother, Jason and her sister-in-law, Melissa brought over their son Austin who was born just a few weeks after Kaelyn. Austin was very interested in Kaelyn, but Kaelyn didn"t pay much attention Austin. It will be fun to watch them grow!

Three Months

Kaelyn is three months already! Time is sure flying by. She is getting more talkative every day and continues to practice her rolling over skills. She has also discovered she can put her hands in her mouth, which she does constantly.

Strong Neck!

Kaelyn is starting to tolerate tummy time much better no that she can lift her head and look around! Here is my favorite picture 0f her on her tummy!

Rolling Overt Part 2

I finally caught Kaelyn rolling over on video. She has rolled over two more times since her first efforts! She is growing so fast and continues to amaze me everyday with all that she is learning. Enjoy the video!

2 month appointment

Kaelyn had her two month appointment today. She is a happy healthy baby...if only we could figure out why there is still blood her in stools. She weighs 11 lbs 1 oz which was in the 41st percentile. She is 24 inches long which is in the 89th percentile and her head is 15 inches around which is in the 29th percentile. So she is long and lean with a tiny head! We will be going to see a gastrointestinal specialist to help determine the cause of blood her stools. I have been dairy free for a couple of weeks with no improvement. However, the doctor doesn't think it is something too serious since she is grwoing and eating well! Will keep you posted!

Rolling over

Today Kaelyn rolled over from her stomach to her back three times. It was a very big day for her! I am trying to catch it on video. Will post it as soon as I do!

Kaelyn's Baptism

Today was Kaelyn's Baptism. It was a beautiful day and Kaelyn was perfect. Thanks to everyone who was able to celebrate it with us.

Happy Halloween!

We think that Kaelyn in the cutest pumpkin in the patch. While we didn't go trick-or-treating this year, we did meet some friends for lunch so Kaelyn got to show off her outfit!

2 months

Kaelyn is now 2 months old! Hard to believe she is getting so big! We go for her two month appointment in a few weeks! Will update you then as to how she is growing!
