We finally took Chloe in for a hair cut! Doesn't she look so cute!

20 Week Appointment

I had my 20 week appointment on Monday. Its hard to believe I am already at the halfway point! The doctor said that everything is progressing along nicely. The heartbeat was 148. She said that everything from the ultrasound looked good. However, they were unable to get a good shot of the umbilical cord, so she sending me for another ultrasound in about eight weeks. So...we still might get to find out the sex of this baby after all!

Ultrasound. It's a surprise!

Well, I had my ultrasound yesterday. I survived the drinking of the water. Actually drinking the water was the easy the part. I stopped drinking liquids about three hours before the appointment so my bladder would be empty. It was actually not going to the bathroom that was tricky. Luckily, I had a nice technician and she told me she only needed to get a few pictures with a full bladder. Then she let me go to the bathroom. From what we could tell the baby looks healthy. The tech didn't tell us too much. I go back to the doctor in a week and I am sure that I will find out more then. I do know that the baby weighs about 12 oz. and the little heart was beating at 160 beats per minute. While I am just 19 weeks today, the tech said I was measuring at 19 weeks 5 days so a little ahead of schedule, but she did say that the doctor wouldn't change my due date because of that. And we have a very modest or very stubborn baby. The little peanut had its legs crossed the whole time and the tech couldn't tell it if it was boy or a girl. I believe this is the only ultrasound I will have so we will have to wait five more months to find out what Baby Pacana is.
