Christmas Morning Part I

Merry Christmas!

Christmas was so much fun this year! I loved hearing Kaelyn squeal with delight has she opened her presents! We had a very busy day which began when Kaelyn woke up at 6 AM (I swear kids just know when it is Christmas morning and know to wake up early :)) Santa was very good to Kaelyn this year! Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Pacana's for breakfast and more presents. After that it was onto Becky and Bill's for dinner and you guessed it...more presents! We had one tired little girl on our hands by the time the day was done! It was a wonderful day spent with family

Fun in the Snow!

Today Kaelyn and I enjoyed all of the snow we received last night for oh about 15 min. She enjoyed her ride on the sled, but was frustrated because walking in the snow was such a challenge.

Exciting Day!

Kaelyn and I had a very busy and exciting day today. We started out the morning by heading to Monkey Joe's in Aurora for a playdate.. Basically it is a big room filled with inflatable jumping houses. Kaelyn wasn't too sure about walking on the uneven surfaces, but after she got the hang of it, she had a blast. Then after a nap, we ran to the grocery store. On our way there, it started to snow. When we got home, I let Kaelyn run around in the snow and she absolutely loved it, Hoping we will be able to go out and play more in the snow tomorrow!

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Gedert's

We celebrated Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Gedert, Aunt Linda, Uncle, Shawn, Aunt Jen and Isabella this weekend! Kaelyn had so much fun! She loved opening her presents and squealed with delight at every single one. She is becoming quite the present unwrapping pro! We had a wonderful celebration and only wish it could have lasted longer.

Dancing and Twirling

Kaelyn's new favorite past-time is dancing and spinning around the house. I caught it on video a few times and thought I would share.

First Picture with Santa

We took Kaelyn to see Santa for the first time yesterday. She is not a fan at all. Immediate crying upon placing her on Santa's lap. This picture is priceless.

St. Nick Video

St. Nick's Day

St. Nick visited our house last night and left all of us a little gift. Kaelyn was so excited to get the presents in her stocking. She did a great job opening them, with a little help and is thoroughly enjoying her new books and CD!

Santa Train

Today we took Kaelyn on the Santa Train which departed from the Naperville Train Station. On the train we sang songs and played games with Santa's elves. And then SANTA arrived. It was so exciting! When Santa made it to our seat Kaelyn was a little skeptical, but there were no tears!

Christmas at Thanksgiving

We celebrated Christmas at Thanksgiving with my Aunt deb, Uncle Steve, Aunt Linda and of course, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Shawn, Aunt Jen and Isabella. Kaelyn and Isabella had a fun time playing together!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration at the Halstead's this year! We have much to be thankful for this year. Our family, friends, good health and most of all our beautiful daughter.

Staying Warm

Kaelyn looks so cute in her winter hat. So far she hasn't tried to pull it of too many times.

Kidstown

Kaelyn and I met some friends at Kidstown today in Wheaton. Kidstown is a big room that has lots of different play areas. They have a princess palace, play house, pet room, fire and police station and lots of other fun areas to play in. She had a blast!

Ball Pit

I turned Kaelyn's kiddie pool into a ball pit for a couple of weeks! She had a blast climbing in and out and throwing the balls outside of the pool.

Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween. Kaelyn enjoyed trick-or-treating downtown Naperville. She was the cutest ladybug around!

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we carved pumpkins. Kaelyn wasn't too sure about the pumpkin guts. She didn't want to touch them! Geoff scooped out the pumpkins, I carved them and then Geoff made pumpkin seeds. It was a fun night!
