Cousin Isabella

Kaelyn met her cousin Isabella for the first time today. Kaelyn was very curious about the newest baby in the family. I am sure they will be best friends in no time.

New Buffalo Beach

Kaelyn and I drove to new Buffalo to visit my parents on Sunday. Today we went to the beach. Kaelyn loved the sand, but wasn't too sure about the waves crashing into her. She also got to swing at the beach playground!

Centennial Beach

It was a beautiful day today so Geoff and I decided to take Kaelyn to Centennial Beach in Naperville. There she got to experience sand and the big pool for the first time. She absolutely loved the water and had no fear of it. She started crawling right in it and didn't even care when bigger kids would splash her on their way in the water!

Big Girl Food

Kaelyn has graduated from baby food to finger food. She is loving exploring all of the different textures and tastes of people food! It is a bit of a messy endeavor however!

9 month appointment

Kaelyn had her 9 month appointment today. She now weighs 19 pounds and is 28 inches long! The doctor is very happy with her progress! She is growing and developing right on track!

Finally!

Kaelyn has been pulling herself up onto everything for awhile now, but it is only within the last few days that she has mastered getting herself back down. I got some video of her doing it yesterday. It makes me smile every time she does it on her own!

Brookfield Zoo

My mom, Aunt Linda and Aunt Deb were in town this week so we took Kaelyn to Brookfield Zoo! As soon as we put her in the stroller and started walking around the zoo, she fell asleep. However, after a little cat nap she was ready to see all of the animals. The giraffes were her favorite. She kept looking and talking to the giraffes! It was a very fun and very busy day!
