11 months!

Kaelyn is 11 months old today!

More walking practice!

Today Kaelyn discovered that she could walk and push her toy(with alittle help from mom and Grandma P.) at the same time. Once she figured it out, there was no stopping her! She was so proud of herself!

Walking on Water...

ok, not really on the water, but in the water. While in Kiawah, Kaelyn has perfected her walking skills while holding onto to someones hands. She loved to practice her walking in the sand and water. She will probably be walking on her own in no time!

First Boat Ride

Kaelyn had a another first in Kiawah...her first boat ride. We took a sunset boat cruise tonight and Kaelyn enjoyed taking in the beautiful landscapes and feeling the wind in her hair. We even got to see some dolphins! The last picture is the shrimp boat dock that was used during the filming of Forest Gump. Unfortunately the end of our boat trip ended in rain, but it was still fun!

Becoming a Beach Bum

Kaelyn is slowly, but surely starting to become a beach bum like her mom and dad. Every day she gets more adventurous. Today was high tide and she crawled right out to the ocean almost immediately after we set her down on the sand. She is also enjoying crawling around on the sand further and further away from the beach chairs. Now if only those darn waves would stop getting water in her face and eyes, everything would be perfect!

Playing in the Ocean

Kaelyn is very brave and will crawl right into the ocean. She has a great time until a wave comes and splashes her in the face. She has decided that she does not like the taste of salt water or the way it stings her poor little eyes. And I promise that the wave did not carry her away...Aunt Stacey was near by to rescue her!

First Bike Ride

Kaelyn is having a lot of firsts here in Kiawah! Tonight she had her first bike ride. She is not too fond of it and cries anytime Daddy rides over bumps. We are hoping she will get used to it and start to enjoy her bike rides before we leave Kiawah.

First day at the beach

Today was Kaelyn's first official day at the beach. While I wouldn't call her a beach bum yet, she definitely enjoyed playing in and eating some sand. She is not too sure about the salty sea water yet, but all in all had a good day!

Trip to Kiawah

Kaelyn had a big day today! She had her first plane ride and saw the ocean for the first time! Kaelyn did really well on the plane...not too much crying, a lot of talking. Sitting still was a challenge, but she managed. Of course she fell asleep right before we landed, but she stayed asleep even while we exited the plane and had a good nap in her stroller. Once we arrived in Kiawah and Kaelyn had a good long nap, we took her to see the ocean for the first time. She seemed to like it!

New Use for an old toy

Our very creative daughter has discovered a new use for her exersaucer. She has figured out that she can crawl underneath the exersaucer like it is a tunnel. She is quite proud of herself!

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a wonderful fourth of July this year! We spent the day at Ribfest! Although it was hot, Kaelyn was fantastic and had a great time!

Only two months until my baby turns one! How quickly the time has gone by!
