Today I had my third appointment at 16 weeks. The baby's heart rate was in the 160s and everything is looking good. We have our one and only ultrasound scheduled for April 10th at 3:45 PM. If Baby Pacana cooperates we should be able to find out if it is a boy or a girl! Now I am just wondering how in the world I am going to drink 32oz of water in a half hour and not go to the bathroom until after the ultrasound! Here is a picture of my ever growing belly. This week the baby is the size of an avocado and weighs about 31/2 ounces.

I had to do that once for an ultrasound. Something that helped me was to eat a bunch of pretzels and then I would be thirsty so I would drink a lot. And continue as needed :) But be ready to go the bathroom after the test!
Oh my gosh Kimmy - seeing your growing belly makes this so real! Baby Pacana is on his/her way!!! We're so glad to hear how well your appointment went. Now, do we think Baby Pacana is a boy or a girl...are these ballets secret?
We are so excited to watch the progress of our grandbaby! And we are anxiously awaiting the April ultrasound:-)

I, too, had a couple of ultrasounds and the trick for me was to drink the water in the parking lot before I went in for the appointment because my doctor was never on time. By the time I got into the office, a half hour or more had elapsed. And, be ready to make a beeline for the bathroom after the test! I'm so happy for all of you and the next six months will go by so quickly you won't believe it. I'm SOOOOO excited to think I'm finally going to be a great aunt!!! It's almost more exciting than when I became a aunt!!!!!

Awee Kimmy! I think this is such a great idea! I wish I would have had something like this...the time just goes by way too fast! Be sure to eat a piece of sugary candy right before they call you in. It will make baby more active during the appt. and you should be sure to tell if it's a boy or a girl. Best of luck!
